EU says Algeria abusing a concurrence with the alliance by stopping exchanges with Spain
The European Union, on Friday, said that Algeria has all the earmarks of abusing the EU-Algeria Association Agreement by obstructing exchange and halting monetary exchanges with Spain, Anadolu News Agency reports.
“Exchange strategy is a selective EU skill, and the EU is prepared to face any sort of coercive measures applied against an EU Member State,” said a joint explanation from EU Foreign Policy Chief, Josep Borrel and Trade Commissioner, Valdis Dombrovskis.
“Nonetheless, the EU keeps on leaning toward discourse first to settle contentions.”
On Thursday, Algeria began freezing all monetary tasks connected with exchange with Spain, basically ending all business trade between the countries, except for gaseous petrol.
Algeria took the action because of Spain’s position on the freedom of Western Sahara.
